We owe much to him

Paul Hasselbach: one of the fathers of our success

He laid the technical foundations, assembled the machines and continuously overhauled them. His favorite place was his workbench and he continued to give us friendly advice and support for many years after the company was handed over. For this we are very grateful to him. On 24 th of June, 2018 he fell asleep at home surrounded by his family after a fulfilled life.

Contract concluded on 14th of February 2000

The tour of the company took place in the building dating from 1927 on the site of a former military airport in the north of Bremerhaven. Paul Hasselbach wanted to take a break for health reasons. The “chemistry” was right. And within an hour, a handshake sealed the transfer of the company.

Paul Hasselbach - a creative mind

Paul Hasselbach was born in 1933 and began training as an engine winder at the Lloyd shipyard in Bremerhaven in 1948. He later trained to become a master electrician. Also previously self-employed, he founded the company Hasselbach & Kausch Elektrokleinmotoren in 1984. In an empty small hall he started to build self-developed motors.

In 1986, the first two employees joined the company. With great diligence and expertise, he built up the business in Bremerhaven and produced a versatile range of synchronous motors and gearboxes.

In 1998, he and seven production employees moved into a building dating from 1927 on the site of a former military airport in the north of Bremerhaven. Two years later, the company was inspected here because Paul Hasselbach wanted to take a break for health reasons.and within an hour, a handshake sealed the transfer of the company.

Since 2000, we have continued to run the company under the name ROTEK. He continued to have a workplace with us, where he liked to tinker. He often gave us good suggestions, through which we learned a lot.

But we also celebrated numerous joint festivities, whether 15 years of Rotek Motoren on February 14th, 2015 or summer parties, Christmas parties and anniversaries. He was always there when possible and we appreciated him as humble, hardworking and humorous. In deep attachment we said goodbye to a warm-hearted and sincere person. We will always cherish his memory and our sympathy goes to his family.
