"We build engines not just for profit, but also because we enjoy it!"
Paul Hasselbach, the previous company owner, gave us these inspiring words when he handed over the business 25 years ago. A motto that still characterises our corporate culture today.
We have years behind us that were not always easy. But we have learnt a lot and developed further. We would like to thank the Treusch family for their commitment, their determination and their focus on the future. They have not only built up a company, but also formed a team that is proud to be part of this success story.
Here is a look back:
2000 - On 14 February, the Treusch family founded the company ROTEK and took over Hasselbach & Kausch Elektrokleinmotoren GmbH. The company was inspected and the contract signed in a building dating from 1927 on the site of a former military aerodrome in the north of Bremerhaven. Paul Hasselbach wanted to take a step back for health reasons. The "chemistry" was right. And within an hour, Wilfried, Klaus and Rolf Treusch had come to an agreement with Paul Hasselbach. He continued to work for the company until he was 75 years old and his ideas and experience were very valuable to us. We have a lot to thank him for.
2003 - We sealed our partnership with SPG Korea at the Hanover Trade Fair - the starting signal for our role as general agent for SPG standard AC and DC micromotors in Germany and Austria was given.
2008 - Sustainability has always been an issue for us. So we developed our energy-saving motor Rosync with GreenDrive Technology. Two years later, it won the "preis umwelt unternehmen: Nordwest 2009".
2013 - For some applications, customers wanted particularly quiet motors. We brought the Roslyde with SmoothDrive Technology onto the market.
2014 - Networked drives are becoming increasingly important in manufacturing and logistics. The BLDC motor Romotion with SmartDrive Technology takes this into account.
2016 - In 2016, he was awarded 3rd place in the "Schütting Prize for Innovation in SMEs" organised by the Bremen and Bremerhaven Chamber of Commerce.
2021 - The Rotect in hygienic design was added for industries where cleanliness is paramount.
Now we are on the verge of another big event: construction work has begun on our company extension and we hope to celebrate a big inauguration party before the end of the year!
