Dear Customers and Business Partners,

the SPS IPC Drives exhibition in Nuremberg was very successful for Rotek and we had a large number of particularly top-quality contacts and discussions. Here you see a video interview with Rolf Treusch about the trends and developments in drive technology:

We look forward to your visit to our stand and hope you enjoy reading this newsletter!

Rotek trains a mechatronics technician

After industrial mechanic successfully completed their training in our company, we are training a mechatronics technician for the first time this year.

Dennis Giesges was born in Bremerhaven and is 25 years old. He has been working in his parents’ craft business in his spare time for many years and is very interested in anything that has to do with technology. Having completed his training as an IT management assistant, he would therefore prefer to do practical work.

He is interested in sport and very actively involved in fitness training.

Gear SN15 FLH

Rotek is adding another variant to its modular system with this gear. The worm gear comes from the proven S series. It is a strong and compact drive with axial spacing of 31 mm and a permissible torque of 5 to 15 Nm. It has gear ratios of up to 100:1 and an extended flange facilitates assembly.

It is already in standard use in conveyor belts. But it is also a good solution for many other applications where only limited space is available.

New research centre in Song Do

The new development centre established by the Korean motor manufacturer SPG was completed in March 2017. 130 employees work on six floors. The production facilities for precision planetary gears and IEC standard motors with gears are located on the ground floor. The company management is based on the sixth floor. Subsidiaries for special products are also located in the building. They produce dome surveillance cameras and equipment for the environmentally friendly processing of food waste.

The group headquarters are still in Namdong.

20 years at Rotek

We are proud that we have already been able to come together to celebrate many long-service awards. They show that our employees enjoy being with us and like working here.

Waldemar Klassen has been an industrial mechanic at Rotek for 20 years and spent many of these years working in stator production.

A basis of our success is that our employees feel committed to Rotek because an experienced and motivated team is crucial to ensure our quality and flexibility.
