Bremerhaven, October 2022<\/strong> - Rotek offers the particularly quiet-running Roslyde motor series for exceptionally noise-critical applications. The Roslyde motors with SmoothDrive Technology are characterised by quiet, smooth running and low-vibration behaviour. Another plus point: they have very good efficiency and are particularly efficient as three-phase motors (>90 per cent).<\/p>\n\n

In order to achieve the quietest and lowest-vibration running behaviour possible for the Roslyde, two main adjustments have been made. The alternating magnetic field circulating in the stator winding causes the drive to vibrate. This effect was minimised by optimising the stator geometry and winding technology. At the same time, the usual cogging torque for synchronous motors was minimised through a newly coordinated interaction between the stator and the magnetic rotor. As the rotor is ground between two centres, it is already so well balanced that no further work is necessary. Unwanted noise could also be caused by the bearings. The more precise they are, the better. This is why Rotek always uses high-quality ball bearings with special lubrication.<\/p>\n\n

Other factors that can be responsible for the noise level of a drive include mechanical components such as gearboxes. This is because the majority of all small motors are combined with gearboxes. Therefore, the entire drive unit should always be considered. For this reason, Rotek offers the Roslyde in combination with particularly quiet gearboxes. With the same external design as all previous Rotek motors, they match the components from the Rotek modular system.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

All previous gearbox types can also be fitted. The motors are available in voltages from 1~24 V to 1~230 V as well as 3~230 V for inverter operation and 3~400 V. Rotek manufactures versions for special voltages and increased output power in short operation according to customer requirements. The low-vibration Roslyde motors are used as screw conveyor drives in pellet cookers
and wood-burning stoves in the living area. They ensure the silent opening of access systems. In laboratories and hospitals, they can work silently in dosing pumps and analysers. With low-noise gearboxes, they form a particularly quiet drive unit.<\/p>\n\n
