The possible applications range from relatively simple conveyor belt drives with analogue speed specification to CAN bus-capable drives for driverless small load transport systems.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The Romotion can be customised mechanically, electronically and in terms of software to optimally meet the respective requirements. If crates with different loads are to be positioned at maximum cycle rates, the software can be programmed so that the stopping point is approached without time-consuming readjustment. The overall dynamics are determined when the containers are accelerated at maximum flow. This is used to calculate the optimum braking time depending on the load while travelling at maximum speed. After active braking, the drive switches to stepper motor mode for the last 1-2 steps and moves synchronously to the stopping point with high overexcitation. An output for a braking resistor is provided as standard on the control electronics.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>If a transport container needs to be permanently levelled, Rotek offers the option of installing an inclination sensor directly in the Romotion and connecting it to the electronics. The drive can be calibrated during commissioning. This saves the system manufacturer additional costs for mounting and wiring the sensor. In addition, the direct connection of the sensor to the motor electronics enables fast control and therefore a particularly smooth drive.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The Romotion drives cover a power range from 80 to 200 W and are available for nominal voltages of 24 and 48 V. In the sensorless standard version, they can be operated between 400 and 4000 rpm. This means that the drive remains permanently ready for communication, but cannot start. On request, the Romotion is also available with the drive-integrated safety function STO (safe torque cut-off). This ensures that a switched-off motor can no longer safely generate torque. In accordance with stop category 0 of EN 60204, the power supply is interrupted immediately and the drive coasts to a torque-free stop.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>In the download area of the website, Rotek offers the latest version of the MotorManager parameterisation software with an extended range of functions. In addition to standard settings such as speed ranges, ramps and current limits, users can now also customise the PID controller according to their requirements. The drive can be operated on a control panel for easy commissioning.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>With the same external design as the other Rotek motors, the Romotion BLDC motor fits all components from the Rotek modular system. In addition to the proven planetary gearboxes, Rotek now also offers the motor with worm gearboxes.
