His favourite place was his workbench and he continued to provide us with friendly advice and support for many years after the company was handed over. We are very grateful to him for this. Paul Hasselbach wanted to take a step back for health reasons. The \"chemistry\" was right. He later trained as a master electrician. Having previously worked independently, he founded the company Hasselbach &amp; Kausch Elektrokleinmotoren in 1984. He began building motors of his own design in a small empty hall.<\/p><p>The first two employees joined the company in 1986. With great diligence and expertise, he built up the company in Bremerhaven and manufactured a versatile range of synchronous motors and gearboxes.<\/p><p>In 1998, he and seven production employees moved into a building dating from 1927 on the site of a former military aerodrome in the north of Bremerhaven. Two years later, the company was inspected here because Paul Hasselbach wanted to take a step back for health reasons, and within an hour a handshake sealed the transfer of the company.<\/p><p>Since 2000, we have continued to run the company under the name ROTEK. He continued to have a workplace with us, where he enjoyed tinkering. He often gave us good suggestions, through which we learnt a lot.<\/p><p>But we also celebrated numerous events together, whether it was 15 years of Rotek Motoren on 14 February 2015 or summer parties, Christmas celebrations and anniversaries. He was always there whenever possible and we appreciated him as modest, hard-working and humorous. We bid farewell to a warm-hearted and sincere person with deep affection.
